Classmate Stabbed With Scissors
Brooklyn, NY – Chevoiy Nelson, the 16-year-old accused of stabbing a classmate in the head with scissors, has medical and mental issues.
His mom said he takes Tegretol, banzel and phenobarbital for seizures and Prozac. He is under the care of a psychiatrist.
Last Tuesday Nelson and some other students were playing basketball at lunch in the gym at Erasmus Hall High School in New York City borough of Brooklyn, when Nelson got mad and attacked Alfredo Allen, seriously injuring him.
Allen is in critical condition at Kings County Hospital. Nelson was arraigned on charges of attempted murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon and is being held without bail. Nelson who has an instructional aide with him during class time did not have one at lunch.
