Brooklyn vehicle slams into car and condominium building

On February 5th, 2012 at approximately 5:20 pm a car lost control in Brooklyn hitting another car and slamming into a condominium building. Apparently, the driver of a Lincoln Navigator lost control hitting everything in her path. The vehicle hit the curb, hit a tree, hit another car, and then plowed into a scaffolding of a condominium building downtown. The female driver was seriously injured and rushed to the Bellevue Hospital when the paramedics arrived on the scene. The two other individuals involved in the collision, a passenger in the SUV and the driver of the other vehicle which was hit, were said to be okay, only suffering minor injuries. It is unclear for now as to what exactly happened, if the driver dozed off, simply lost control, or was in some other way distracted, but the police officers said they do not believe that any intentional crime was committed and it was simply just an accident. Several witnesses that were at or near the condominium building said they thought the whole building was coming down and that if not for the scaffolding the vehicle might have crashed through the window and into the building.
