Posted in Truck Accidents on September 10, 2012
Tractor trailers are incredibly large mechanical wonders. They are designed to transport our goods across large distances, and many times they do their job without any mishaps. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case on Friday, September 7th.
A tractor trailer that was carrying thousands of pounds of industrial sized batteries, spilled from the truck after the big rig fell down a 200 foot embankment alongside eastbound Interstate 84 near Exit 19. Fortunately, the truck driver only had moderate injuries. The truck shut down traffic for several hours as crews worked to remove the spilled fuel and bring the tractor trailer back up the embankment.
Truck accidents like these are more common than most people realize, and sometimes they can be devastating or tragically fatal.
